GRAMMAR: Relative sentences

In this class, the teacher show us how to make relative sentences, this is the theory we have:


  • defining: The students that are from Elche are nice.
  • non-defining: The students, who are from Elche, are nice.

Relatives with prepositions
--> "I live in this house"
A. This is the house in which I live.
B. This is the house I live in.

--> "I was talking to this student before"
A. This is the student to whom I was talking before.
B. This is the student I was talking to before.

Omitted
  1. Students (who have) with a complaint should come to my office.
  2. The man (who lives) living next door is an artist.
  3. This the only persona (who helped) to help me.
Indefinite pronouns
