2. Digital Storytelling
Hello everyone, this is our second project. In this one, we had to create a digital storytelling based in the inclusive education. This is a important topic, because we must include everyone, even if they have some difficulty and try to eliminate exclusions done by classmates, teaches and even their own families.
We hope you enjoy it.
This is the story:
Pol the sad snail
Storyteller: Once upon a time, there was a snail called Pol who lived in a green garden. That day, Pol wanted to take the sun's rays because it was a little bit cold, he saw a tree and began to climb the trunk, but when he was almost up, he tripped and fell spinning to the ground. *breaking noise*
Mole: Hi, what's your name?
Snail: Hi, my name is Pol, and your name?
Mole: My name is Peter, why are you sad Pol?
Snail: Because I have fallen from the tree and my house has broken. *crying voice*
Mole: Don't cry, I think I can help you, I'll give you a glass of my glasses so you'll cover a little part of your house.
Snail: Really? You're very kind, thank you very much.
Narrador: Pol, the snail, is still sad because part of his house is missing. In a nearby plant there was a worm, Michael, and he saw Pol crying.
Michael: Why are you crying Pol?
Pol: Because I've fallen from the tree and my house has broken. *crying voice*
Michael: Don’t worry Pol, if you want I can make you a piece of silk to cover your house with my silk fabric.
Pol: Really? You are very kind, thank you so much for helping me.
Narrador: Pol now is less sad because he has recovered part of his house, but he still has half of his home. While Pol continues on his way, he finds out between the plants a ball full of spikes sleeping *Zzzz*. When he saw the ball he got scared and rejected it because of its appearance.
Ben: Don’t be scared, Pol. I'm not going to hurt you. Why are you sad?
Pol: Because I have fallen from the tree and my house has broken. *crying voice*
Ben: If you want I can help you. I've many spikes, so I can give you all you need to make the missing part of your home.
Pol: Thank you very much, you've been very kind.
Narrador: Pol was on his way when he found a female turkey singing.
Holly: What's up Pol? Why are you sad?
Pol: Because I've fallen from the tree and my house has broken. *crying voice*
Holly: But I can't help you, my feathers are not as pretty as those of a peafowl.
Pol: Your feathers, even if they are not pretty, are just as valid as peafowl’s feathers.
Holly: Okay, if you want I can give you a few to finish your house.
Pol: Thank you, you're really great.
Narrador: Once Pol had the house finished, he tried to help his friends the same way they did. So, Pol made roads with slime so Peter, the mole, could follow them and not get lost. Pol protected Michael until he became a beautiful butterfly. He introduced the rest of the friends to Ben to not be judged and taught them that in spite of their appearance he's not dangerous. Finally, Pol taught Holly to value herself, because even if she didn't have the peacock's feathers, hers were equally important.
This is our digital storytelling:
The day of the presentation, we saw another digital storytellings and we have some photo to show you:
Our favourite, was definitely the one of the wizard, that is called "The best wish". It was well done, and it treats the issue of bullying, that we consider it has a lot of importance. We have to say too, that there was one that we didn't like it, because it had a big watermark and we couldn't read the subtitles. But this is not a bad review, it's a constructive criticism.
We are so happy and satisfied with this project. We think that we should use this type of histories to show the children that everyone is valid in this life. There are people that are better in something and other people that are good in another. The most important thing os the respect.
This is three of us, introducing our project:
